It was prophecied that Anakin would bring the balance to the force and he did, by killing Emperor Palpatine. Then there was balance in the force when no sith were around. Of course this has been shit all over in the games and such where the sith are gone like 20 minutes after Palpatine -_- but this is the actual truth. No siths = Balance.
