With the mixing of populations for centuries, talking in terms of tribes that existed thousands of years ago is very ignorant and inaccurate. A population can be more Slavic, or more Germanic, but not purely Slavic or purely Germanic. Many of the "Western Slavs" have German ancestors for example, beside other minority admixtures that happened over the centuries through invasions or simple population mixing in a common state.
