The F-35 doesn't, because it thrust vectoring is too expensive, and they were trying to keep manufacturing costs down. More to the point. Thrust vectoring can let a pilot lose heat-seeker missiles that lock on exhaust IR plume.

The US is now stuck with expensive stealth horseshit that is not going to pay for itself. The USAF decided to cut its losses and go with 4.5 generation F-15's instead of F-35's. Everyone else who ordered F-35's will have to carry the full financial load.

HMS QE doesn't have arresting cables, catapults, guns, or a nuclear power plant. Needs refueling every ten (10) days. So it is a cheap floating platform/storage for all those F-35's. Can only launch and recover VSTOL aircraft.
